Let’s get straight to the point: There’s a bazillion brands out there and not all of us have the time nor the willingness to go through each and every one of them just to get all the nuisances lined up.
I know your pain man and I’ve been through that ordeal myself until I’ve stumbled upon Nuleaf.
Now I know what you’re thinking, ‘oh no, he’s gonna go on a giant tirade on how Nuleaf changed his life, cured his cancer and turned him into a 6”2′ male model!’
No. But, here’s the thing; Out of all the other brands, it was only Nuleaf that managed to hit that sweet spot in me. The strong, aromatic taste brought me back to a time where I was sitting around in a small boat, fishing with my father, listening to his infamous adventures in the deep blue sea.
You know when you taste that first drop and immediately fall in love? That’s what Nuleaf has done to me and many others.
Now let’s try and look at this CBD oil from an objective perspective, we’ll glean on its specifics, the company behind them and other stuff like that.
About Nuleaf Naturals
The first thing to note about the Nuleaf CBD oil is the fact that it is a whole plant extract.
Many people (and websites) seem to offhandedly mention this important piece of information, yet they never extrapolate on how important this data really is.
You see, since the US government decided to demonstrate its megalomania through forcing companies to adapt to a synthetic version of the tincture, quality has gone down significantly.
Although one can simulate the environment it takes to create CBD, numerous other compounds that are less accentuated in scientific journals are left out in the cold.
While this might not be the end of the world, when you consider the entourage effect, where small, non-psychoactive compounds inside of a product, help bolster the overall effectiveness of the psychoactive chemicals, the entire narrative shifts.
In plain English, it means that you’ll have to take more synthetic CBD oil extract in order to get the same effects you would get from the whole plant extract.
This means that you save money, expose your body to fewer chemicals and have stronger benefits in the long run just by using whole plant extracts!
Isn’t that amazing?!
Moving on, let’s take a closer look at the company in question.
Nuleaf hasn’t been operating for very long, 2014 to be frank, and their headquarters are stationed in Colorado (nice!). This is also the place where all the product is made.
While my gut feeling always irks me to steer clear of new companies, giving them the benefit of the doubt has been one of my better decisions in life.
Tens of inquiries later, I found myself with a smile on my face and an order in the queue; Their customer service really is a notch above the competition!
NuLeaf CBD Oil, The Golden Standard
Pioneers of the art oftentimes scrutinize CBD oil by its color.
While it does have some sort of scientific merit, as clearer colors indicate that processing has gone smoothly and that the extract is pure, I wouldn’t get my hopes up too high.
The fact that color is easily manipulated by additives and considering how each plant has a slightly different nuance than the other, color can be used as a sort of a first assumption of what is to come, but nothing more.
I’ve talked at length about all the unscrupulous methods manufacturers use to peddle their product and color is not left out of the equation. You can find that section in our general guide.
The reason why I’m mentioning this is to warn people to not judge a book just by its color, since some of the best tinctures I’ve tried looked like, well, adulterated trash.
Introducing Nuleaf CBD oil into the story, we see the smooth, silk and soft way the tincture moves from one place to another.
It really radiates this sort of potent energy where one immediately exclaims: This is some damn good CBD!
I’ve talked about whole plant extracts but I’ve never touched upon all the ways the extraction process itself can be done.
Real talk right now: Every company wants to maximize their profits and how do they do that?
By producing the most product in the least amount of time possible.
That is accomplished by skipping some of the ‘unimportant’ steps in the manufacturing process, rendering the product a bit lacking in some departments but still functioning enough to be put on the shelves.
Why is this so important?
Because I believe in things gradually toppling down from ‘we’ll leave some things on the burner to make a buck or two’ to ‘company X is making much more money by skipping these three steps, we have to follow suit or we’re ruined’.
Get what I mean? This sort of domino effect will lead to massive downturns in quality and it has ruined many companies insofar.
Nuleaf decided to venture forth in a different direction.
They peddle their CBD oil as a premium product that has a respectable price tag, but at least you know what you’re paying for.
That’s why they are very insistent on using only pure, non-toxic solvents in their extraction process, popularly coined, CO2 extraction.
Now, the first time I’ve read ‘CO2’, I thought that we were talking about some weird and strange chemicals in themselves.
I had this sort of notion in my brain that any chemical starting with a capital C had to be toxic.
Quite on the contrary, whenever we breathe out, we release a small amount of CO2 to the environment and it hasn’t really poisoned us humans until this juncture, as far as I can tell!
All of this comes at a price and you’ll be surprised to hear that the company doesn’t offer any sort of incentives when you purchase more of their product.
I can respect that decision, since they spend so much time focusing on quality, but it is something to take note of.
They offer five different servings, ranging from 240mg and all up to 4850mg of CBD.
Another thing to respect is the fact that they also offer CBD oil for pets, which is still highly controversial.
If you ask me, my cat Damien deserves to be absolved from his pain just as much as I do and I see no reason why I should stop him from enjoying his short life to the fullest extent possible.
Please take a look at the following table to better acquaint yourself with the specifics
- 240 mg CBD / .17 FL OZ / 5ml / 100 drops for $38.50
- 240 mg CBD (Pets) / .17 FL OZ / 5ml / 100 drops for $38.50
- 725 mg CBD / .5 FL OZ / 15ml / 300 drops for $99
- 1450 mg CBD / 1 FL OZ / 30ml / 600 drops for $179
- 2425 mg CBD / 1.69 FL OZ / 50ml / 1000 drops for $239
- 4850 mg CBD / 3.38 FL OZ / 100ml / 2000 drops for $439
My personal suggestion is to take things slow at first. Since there is no reason to rush forward, simply select the 240mg option and take it as a sample.
If you do like it, you’re free to go with the highest option as the bottles are tightly sealed and the tincture in them can last pretty much forever.
It’s just a pet peeve of mine, but when I have thirteen bottles on one counter, half of them empty, I just want to pull my hairs out!
I’ve already talked about the amazing experience I’ve had when I had a brush with their customer service.
Shipping, on the other hand, is another beast in itself.
The good thing about this company is that they ship to all 51 states and that they offer free shipping for residents in the US.
If you’re not from the US, please acquaint yourself with the shipping costs or contact the company themselves to arrange a lucrative deal for the both of you.
In regard to shipping times, I’ve never had to wait more than a couple of days and by couple, I do mean two.
If you’re ordering from abroad, be aware that shipping times may vary and that there is no definite time span on when the package will arrive.
One interesting thing to note about Nuleaf is the lack of any sort of money-back guarantee. Remember when I told you to start off slow and see if the product suits your fancy? Here’s another reason why.
They do, however, let you return any unopened or unadulterated packages within a month of delivery, but you do have to pay the shipping costs.
Nuleaf CBD oil is a product that takes itself very seriously.
The company goes a long way to show us how much they care about each and every step of the process and the prices definitely reflect that.
It is safe to say that I’ve been using their extract short of two years for now and that I’ve never had any problems and even if I were to have any, I would feel tranquility as I knew that Nuleaf would go the extra mile to alleviate any of my problems.
To keep it short: Melancholic taste, a potent tincture that made my life a whole lot better and quality that is here to stay for.
